Alex joined the Bang the Gavel team in November 2010.  He grew up in Westlake Village, CA and attended Westlake High School.  He then studied Business and History at the University of Colorado.  After graduating in 2006, he stayed in Boulder for another year to continue working the hotel industry as a food and beverage manager.  In 2007, he returned to California to work as a project manager for a high-end, residential general contracting company based in Santa Monica, CA.  While involved in several projects in the Los Angeles area, he gained experience in the business side of construction with high-profile clients.  At a weekly poker game with some old high school friends, Alex voiced his desire for another line of work.  Having known the Donen family for many years, he was offered a position with the family run company.  His interests include: snowboarding, football, tennis, movies, hiking and poker.  He currently resides in Thousand Oaks with his beloved dog, Brooklyn.
